The Horst Home

Where When

North Georgia 2024

Miss Horst asked for my assistance in redesigning her smaller floorplan to make it more comfortable and functional. She had large, bulky furniture and items that did not match her style and wanted to replace them. She wanted neutral tones, slightly darker walls, and lighter wood accents; she defined her style as clean/neutral modern.

By strategically rearranging the floor plan, the layout was optimized to maximize both space and functionality, resulting in a more open and inviting atmosphere.

A subtle yet impactful modification in wall color played a crucial role in setting the tone for the entire space. The new color scheme not only added depth and character to the rooms but also evoked a sense of warmth and coziness that was previously lacking. The carefully chosen hues complemented the natural light streaming in through the tall windows, creating a harmonious balance of light and color throughout the house.

Overall, the renovation not only improved the aesthetic appeal of the house but also enhanced its livability and comfort. The thoughtful design choices and attention to detail transformed the space into a welcoming sanctuary that seamlessly blends style and functionality, making it a truly inviting place to call home.

Upon viewing the new design, she was delighted that her home could once again showcase her personal style and be functional for both her and her family.
